After perusing many wedding menu sites, the biggest trend today seems to be some form of “the tasting menu.” After a cocktail hour or so with guests and the bridal party sharing drinks and various ethnic food offered at kiosks/stations that make pasta with sauce choices, Thai spring rolls and stir-fry, Greek gyros with pita breads, and any other ethnic food choices that the bride and groom love, guests sit down to a six to seven course tasting menu that reflects either the bride and groom’s favorite foods, a romantic meal that they shared, or family traditional ethnic food. Although the dancing, drinking and toasting at a wedding celebration are key to creating amazing memories, with more and more people professing to be devout “foodies,” the food served at the wedding is definitely just as important.
