Hi, Storkie friends! I’m back after another week of planning. I’m getting fatigued already and I’ve only just begun. Definitely looking forward to the honeymoon! We haven’t planned that yet, but I realize we better get to that next week so we can book early and get a good price. I’m hoping for something tropical!

This week we did a lot of reconnaissance. I met with three florists in town and think I meshed well with one of them. I really liked her selection and her style. I will finalize my choices in the coming weeks and show you all some photos. I’m going for a local wildflower and autumn motif. I definitely want to include some succulents as well, as we are in the desert. This photo serves as my inspiration, and the florist I chose is going to create a very similar look.

Carols flowers 300x214 Storkie Bride To Be: Week 4We spent most of our time this last week “researching” bakeries and caterers. And by researching I mean tasting lots and lots of (mostly) delicious food. We have decided to go with a caterer that often works with the orchard where we are getting married. We want a “farm-to-table” picnic-style buffet, with fresh fruits and vegetables grown on location. We chose items like the bacon-wrapped asparagus, grilled peppers, mini apple and peach cobblers, fig tarts, pumpkin soup and sweet potato fries. There will also be an entrée option of grass-fed beef, cage-free chicken or wild Alaskan salmon. We are really excited about the food!

I’ve been pinning lot of great ideas to my Pintrest board. Be sure to follow to see my ever-growing wedding wish list.

Even though we only crossed off two items on the  list this week, they were big ones. We had to visit so many different businesses, and we are glad to have these two settled. Stay tuned for more planning next week!
