Before the groom becomes a married man, one of the traditions is for his male friends, especially the men in his wedding party, to get together and have a party. Today’s trend is for this group of men to travel together and have fun away from home. In yesterday’s Storkie blog, I suggested that Bachelorettes do good for their female pre-wedding event. So, for the men, I suggest that they too do good by going to a cooking program offered in various parts of the U. S. A. Think about how great it would be to be able to cook!
Here are a few suggested places to learn about cooking and also have fun with your buddies:
The Culinary Resort in Burlington, Vermont offers multiple activities such as skiing, golf, tennis, and spa services that make learning to cook even more pleasant.
USA Today ran two articles by Kitty Bean Yancey about fun and fabulous places to learn to cook including “Lake Austin Spa Resort” in Texas, Arizona’s Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale at Troon North, The Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill, N.C., Savage River Lodge in Maryland, The Sagamore Resort on Lake George in New York, and The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas.
So, bachelors, how about a new twist to the traditional men’s gathering known as the Bachelor Party? Do good… learn to cook!
