Rachel & Drew were married in a gorgeous natural setting on a cool fall day in rural Pennsylvania. The delicate purple flowers in Rachel’s bouquet create such a great contrast with the bouquet, and definitely loving the way the colors pop against the deep green country setting. What a beautiful couple and a beautiful wedding!

Bride & Groom: Rachel & Drew

Location: Cavallo’s Bistro in Easton, Pennsylvania

Memorable aspect:  I would expect nothing less from two culinary professionals – great food with an amazing setting at Cavallo’s in Easton, Pennsylvania. For a groom who claimed to never smile, I definitely caught a few moments in there of him looking at his beautiful bride. An overcast, early fall day only helped to make the couple pop against the rustic landscape on the restaurant’s property, a photographer’s dream!

Style: I learned photography by being a photojournalist, and I see that as my primary role as a wedding photographer, to document accurately what I see happening. It’s important to me that I don’t miss a beat at a wedding. I want couples to be able to relive their event through my photos and see moments they didn’t even know happened. My images have to tell a story of the day, otherwise I’m not happy!

Inspiration: I don’t walk into a wedding expecting to make specific images. I’m inspired by what I see. Sure, I have images that I hope to make at each wedding, but I don’t force them. I love capturing everything I see that happens during the day, and I know that’s what my clients have come to expect when the hire me. These images I have here really show the diversity and wide range of moments that I capture throughout a couple’s wedding day, including humor. I love the humorous photos as much as I love photos with deep emotion.

Inspiration:  I have my list of artists, entrepreneurs, other photographers, world leaders, etc. who inspire me, but it’s the common personality trait that all of the people on my list have that really drives me. It’s the intense passion for what they do; the eye for detail, the respect for themselves and their work, and not stopping until they are satisfied. This is what inspires me to do the same in my work, whether it is when I get paid to take wedding photos or I take them just for fun.
